The Global Research and Training Centre for Internationally Designated Areas (GCIDA), under the auspices of UNESCO, will host the Internationally Designated Areas Photo Exhibition in celebration of World Environment Day 2025.
Under the theme, “Safeguarding Internationally Designated Areas (IDAs) from Plastic Pollution,” the exhibition highlights the ecological value and natural beauty of World Heritage Sites, Biosphere Reserves, and Global Geoparks. It aims to raise awareness of the pressing need to protect these globally significant areas from plastic pollution.
We invite you to reflect on the challenges facing IDAs and join our shared efforts to preserve these invaluable sites for future generations.
